Pet In-House Laboratory

The state-of-the-art in-house laboratory at Isanti Pet Clinic allows us to detect problems and begin therapy on your pet much faster than ever before. In less than 10 minutes, we may perform a complete blood count (CBC), which determines the quantity and quality of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. A complete blood count (CBC) can reveal a variety of information about your pet, including whether he or she is dehydrated, anemic (low red blood cell count), or suffering from an infection.

In our in-house laboratory, we can also do essential organ blood testing (kidneys, liver, thyroid, electrolytes, blood protein, blood sugar, and pancreatic function) in minutes. Our veterinary care team can better assist you if we have immediate access to accurate in-house diagnostic test findings. Pre-anesthetic blood work screening can be conducted swiftly and efficiently with these capabilities prior to any sort of surgery.

While you wait, you can have your cat tested for heartworm, feline leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, and fecal flotation. We’ll get back to you within 10 minutes with the results.

In addition, our in-house laboratory performs full urine analysis, fecal cytology, ear cytology, skin scrapings, giardia (a stool parasite), and parvovirus testing, as well as fine-needle aspirates/cytology.
